15th April 2008

Another bright Spring morning, no early morning frost to scrape half heartedly off our windscreens!

Glen’s train set attracted as many males to the table as the females when Andrew Browne displays his gold, silver and diamond delights!

Apologies from James McLoughlin,  David Dunnigan subbed by Dave, Clive Wilson subbed by Charlotte Barton, Morag Matthews subbed by Helen Tapley, Mark Hynes subbed by Susie Rand.

Education:
Using a variety of examples, Patrick delivered another informative education slot about the differences between a lead and a referral. Ensuring we all know that a lead is of no real good to us…where a referral is excellent news! Basically the person being referred will know of our existence and will hopefully be looking forward to our call!

60 Seconds:
As always, the 60 second slots were both interesting and amusing.  Nic Howard suggested we find people who would like anything from plant selections for their bijous gardens to leisure provisions in their rambling acres! Andrew Browne reminded us that the wedding season is almost upon us, Graham Tapley showed us a photograph proving that the VW sledge really is in existence and David Munday entered a nostalgic realm as he told of his days when he used explosives to blow all sorts of things up, in his present line of business this causes him some difficulties when someone shouts ‘fire!’ as he is not always sure whether to duck or pick up the nearest extinguisher! James McLoughlin is still in possession of the Star Speaker Award ( his poetry was worthy of a 2 week hold!)

Reports:
Laura Downton reported the fantastic news that over the last two weeks a total of £5303 business was given.  42 referrals were passed last week with Graham Tapley in the lead.

10 Minutes:
Glen delivered a polished and well timed 10 minute slot, everyone had fun partaking and winning when they showed the correct answer to questions about his business. As well as the information telling us about such things as playing in a steel band in Barbados and  being in a helicopter as it suffered engine failure (another idea for Scott to insure alongside fire engines and prison vans I wonder?) Glen’s key to success is to work hard and keep the customer satisfied …Glen is passionate about the service he offers, he can offer competitive prices on a variety of laptops and PC’s and will always respond when a customer has any IT problems. From VPN to DAT we are all convinced that Glen is indeed the fastest talking IT engineer in the area!  Well done

Thought for the week

Attitude

We cannot change our past, we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one thing we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you, we are in charge of our attitudes

Charles Swindoll

Have a lovely week
